Diary in Google Translate Retrospect 1995 Vienna (1) Platter Ferris wheel

I enjoyed the Danube river excursion with the tour members on a cruise ship from the pier in Budapest, and when I changed to a small charter bus from the pier and looked at the view from the window, I saw a large Ferris wheel from above, at that time I realized that I was in Vienna.

Yes, it's a breathtaking Ferris wheel in the thrilling scene of the movie "The Third Man" directed by Carol Reed in 1949, which I saw at a movie theater in Ginza, Tokyo in January 1976.

In the turmoil after World War II, Harry (Orson Welles), a great villain who tries to survive by tricking his best friend, and Holly (Joseph Cotten), an unsold writer who is betrayed by trusted Harry and drowns in alcohol.

Anna (Alida Valli) is loved by Holly who saved her life but can't forget Harry.

The last scene in the movie was Anna ignoring Holly's gaze, raising her head and walking off a tree-lined road.

And while I was reminiscing about the movie, our small charter bus went through the same tree-lined road.

The photo is from the movie program I bought at that time.
