In this visit to Hungary, the opera "Carmen" was optionally included, and even I, who is not familiar with opera, can understand "Carmen", so I went to the Hungarian State Opera with the members.
To be honest, I didn't know until this time that opera was so popular in Hungary that it even set up the State Opera.
However, when I stepped into the beautiful Hungarian State Opera in the style of the Neo-Renaissance, which was founded in 1858, and looked at the luxurious theater, I felt as if I was at the end of the 19th century.
Then, during the break, while sipping wine with the tour members in the lobby on the first floor, I looked around and watched the men and women dressed up talking with a glass in one hand, and felt the remnants of the salon of the dynasty era.
今回のハンガリー訪問ではオプショナルにオペラ「カルメン」の観劇が組み込まれており、オペラに馴染んでいない私でも「カルメン」は理解できるので、メンバーと共にハンガリー国立歌劇場に足を運んだ。
正直に言って、私は、この時までハンガリーでこれほどオペラが普及していて国立歌劇場まで設営していることを知らなかった。
ところが、1858年に創設されたネオルネッサンスの様式の美しいハンガリー国立歌劇場に足を踏み入れて、豪華な劇場内を眺めていると、私は一瞬１９世紀末にいるかのような錯覚を覚えた。
そして休憩時間に一階ロビーでツアーメンバーとワインを啜りながら、周囲を見廻して、着飾った男女がグラスを片手に語り合う姿をながめて、王朝時代のサロンの名残を感じた。
