Two days later, on Saturday morning, I had to vacate the comfortable Kirkland House that I had grown accustomed to for nearly two months.
As one of the preparations today, I exchanged phone calls and emails many times, and finally handed four packages to the driver of the Boston branch of Nippon Express.
For me, the air courier fee for 4 boxes from Boston to Tokyo is not cheap, but after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, which I experienced when I entered the country, it became more severe and long queues at international airports. There is no other way than to reduce the amount of baggage on board in order to pass the security check smoothly.
By the way, tomorrow, after taking the post-test, there will be a luncheon ceremony outdoors, and awards will be given to the winners of the essay contest.
In advance information, the instructor told the students that 6 students will be awarded in the level B essay contest that is not an assignment but a self-submission, but as an applicant, I would of course be happy if I was awarded as a winner. even if I don't win a prize, I myself am satisfied with the performance of my essay.
Because I can feel that my English expressiveness level has improved remarkably compared to before I participated in the summer school English training program and after the program.

航空宅配便の手配・エッセイコンテスト、など

２日後の土曜日の午前中に２ヶ月近く馴染じんだ、住み心地の良いカークランドハウスを明け渡さなくてはならない。
今日はその準備の一つとして、何度も電話とメールでやり取りして、やっと日本通運ボストン支社の運転手にパッケージを４箱渡した。
私にとって、ボストンから東京への4箱物分の航空宅配料金は安くはないが、入国時に経験した2001年9月11日の同時テロ以降厳しさを増して長蛇の列に連なった国際空港のセキュリティチェックを、スムーズに通過するには機内手荷物を少なくする他に手段はない。
さて、明日は、事後テストを受けたあとに、屋外で修了ランチョンセレモニーがあり、その席上で、エッセイコンテスト入賞者の表彰が行われる。
事前情報では、課題ではなく自主応募のエッセイコンテストのレベルＢでは６人が表彰されると受講生はインストラクターから聞かされているが、応募者として私は入賞者として表彰されれば勿論嬉しいが、例え入賞しなくても、私自身は自分のエッセイの出来映えに満足している。
サマースクールの英語研修プログラムに参加する前の私とプログラム終了時では私の英語表現力のレベルが格段に上昇していると私自身が実感できるから。
