In the English training program, Level B, which I am participating in, as a finishing touch to the workshop, teams of 3 to 4 people were assigned to give presentations for 20 minutes each.
Each team should choose four presentation themes from all previous classes, and the presentation can be done individually or as a team.
However, the instructor gave us the task of relating all of our presentations to the three keynote themes of this summer school: "Politics", "Environment" and "Education".
As a result of our team of four having a meeting, it was decided that each of us would give a presentation in five minutes.
In addition, the presentation themes selected by each of the teammates were: (1) "The Amistad Revolt," a movie directed by Steven Spielberg about the abolition of slavery in America, which was screened at the opening event of the English training program, (2) "Bushido," and (3) "Why We Run?” is from the professor’s lecture series, and I chose ④ “John F. Kennedy Library and Museum” from the facility tour.
I will explain the composition of the "John F. Kennedy Library and Museum", (1) "Politics" is the "Partial Nuclear Test Ban Treaty" signed by President Kennedy in Moscow, (2) "Environment" is "Prevention of Air Pollution," And (3) “education” is the “educational program” that this institution is still working on.
This presentation was scheduled for two days, today and tomorrow, but our team requested the first day.
At the end of today's presentations, O Instructor's assessment was, "Most presentations focus on details and do not highlight the keynote theme. So pay attention to the keynote theme in tomorrow's presentation."
After that, the M instructor's evaluation was "Kazu's presentation has three keynote themes".

私が参加している英語研修プログラム・レベルＢでは、ワークショップの総仕上げとして、１チーム３～４人編成のチームで、1チーム20分の持ち時間でプレゼンテーションを行うことになった。
プレゼンテーションのテーマは、これまでの全ての授業から、各チームでを4つ選ぶ事、発表は個人あるいはチームとして行っても良いこと。
しかし、インストラクターは、私達が行う全てのプレゼンテーションに、今回のサマースクールの基調テーマである「政治」・「環境」・「教育」の三つを関連付けることを課題として与えた。
私達４人のチームは打ち合せた結果、先ず、単独で、各自が５分の持ち時間でプレゼンテーションを行う事を決めた。
また、チームメートがそれぞれ選んだプレゼンテーション・テーマは、①英語研修プログラムのオープニングイベントで上映された、スピルバーグ監督がアメリカの奴隷解放を描いた映画「The Amistad Revolt」、②「武士道」と③「Why We Run?」は教授のレクチャーシリーズから、そして私が選んだのは施設見学から④「John F. Kennedy Library and Museum」。
私は「John F. Kennedy Library and Museum」の構成を、①「政治」は、ケネディ大統領がモスクワで締結した「部分的核実験停止条約」を、②「環境」は「大気汚染防止」を、そして③「教育」は現在も当機関が取組んでいる「教育プログラム」としたた。
今回のプレゼンテーションは今日と明日の２日間の予定であったが、私たちのチームは１日目を希望した。
今日の全てのプレゼンテーションが修了した時点でのOインストラクターの評価は「大半のプレゼンテーションは細部に焦点が当たって基調テーマが浮き彫りになっていない。従って明日のプレゼンテーションでは基調テーマに留意するように」であった。
その後のＭインストラクターの評価は「Ｋａｚｕのプレゼンは、三つの基調テーマが貫かれている」であった。
