I'm still busy with my homework and preparations, but it's a long-awaited weekend.
Today, I had lunch in the cafeteria with Miss A, a Japanese woman in her late twenties who lives in the same dormitory Kirkland House as me.
Miss A, unlike me, belongs to Advanced Level D, and after her summer school, she says she will go on to a master's degree at a university near Boston to become an NGO expert.
She continued, "My place of employment will cover all costs for the summer school and graduate master's programs."
When I admired, "What an envy,"
"Instead, I'm forced to submit reports frequently and all my grades are reported to the personnel department, so there's a lot of pressure," she said.
Still, I was very envious.

2004/07/17（土） ああ、羨ましい！
相変わらず宿題と予習に追われているが、ともかく待ちに待った週末だ。
今日は、私と同じ寄宿舎カークランド・ハウスで暮らす二十代後半の日本人女性のMiss Ａとカフェテリアでランチを共にした。
Miss Ａは私と異なり高度なレベルＤに属していて、サマースクール終了後はボストン近郊の大学の修士課程に進みＮＧＯの専門家を目指すと言う。
彼女はさらに「私の勤務先が、サマースクール及び大学院修士課程の一切の費用を負担してくれる」と続けたので、
「何と羨ましい」と私が感嘆すると、
「その代わり、報告書を頻繁に提出させられ、私の成績は全て人事担当に報告されるので、プレッシャーが大きい」と。
それでも、私は、大いに羨ましかった。
