This wasn't the end of my mistake.
In the afternoon workshop, a group discussion will be held based on more than 20 pages of lecture materials in preparation for the lecture by Professor Harvard University scheduled for Friday afternoon, after which the group representative will report the main points.
This lecture by a professor at Harvard University is called the "Plenary Lecture Series" and is attended by students of all ranks from level E to level A of the English program.
Even in that class, I read all the lecture materials, but I couldn't get a clear idea of the main points and couldn't actively participate in the group discussion.
And I was overwhelmed by the appearance of a young Korean woman with reading comprehension and conversation skills who led the discussion and put together a report.

私のミスはこれで終りではなかった。
午後のワークショップは、金曜の午後に予定されているハーバード大学教授の講演の準備として、２０ページ余の講演資料を基にグループ討議を行い、その後でグループ代表が要点を報告することになっていた。
このハーバード大学教授の講演は、「プレナリー・レクチャー・シリーズ」と称して、英語プログラムのレベルＥ～Ａまでの全ランク受講生出席するものである。
その授業においても、私は一通り講演資料を読んだものの、明確に要点を把握するまでに至らず、積極的にグループ討議に参加することが出来なかった。
そして、読解力と会話力を備えた韓国の若い女性が、手際よく討議をリードし、報告をまとめる姿を前にして私は打ちのめされてしまった。
