Even though it's not as hot as in Tokyo, it's hard work preparing for two upcoming presentations in my room in a dormitory without an air conditioner, enduring temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius.
The rental fan attached to the window does not cool the room but only stirs the hot and humid air.
The first presentation, "De Revolutionibus," scheduled for the afternoon of August 17 (Tue.), is based on Professor Harvard's lecture "Nicholas Copernicus" in the Plenary Lecture Series. Presented by a team of two people.
And it was decided that I would team up with Mr. C, a Taiwanese businessman.
The second is the "John F. Kennedy Library and Museum" scheduled for the afternoon of Wednesday, August 18th.
This is the final assignment of the workshop that I mentioned last time, and one team will make presentations on four themes.
Our team decided that each person would give a five-minute presentation on one theme, and I chose the "John F. Kennedy Library and Museum" from the facility tours.

真夏にエアコン無しで二つのプレゼンテーション準備をするのは苦行

幾ら東京ほど猛暑ではないといっても、エアコンのない寮の自室で、３０℃前後の高温に耐えながら、間近に迫った二つのプレゼンテーションの準備作業を進めるのは苦役だ。
窓際に取り付けたレンタルの扇風機は部屋を冷やさないで湿った暑い空気をかき回すだけ。
一つ目の８月１７日(火)午後に予定しているプレゼンテーション「Ｄｅ Ｒｅｖｏｌｕｔｉｏｎｉｂｕｓ」は、プレナリーレクチャーシリーズでのハーバード教授の講演「ニコラス・コペルニクス」をベースにインストラクターが１０テーマを設定して、２人一組のチームで発表をするもの。
そして、私は、台湾人ビジネスマンのＣ氏と組むことが決められた。
二つ目は８月１８日（水）午後に予定されている「John F. Kennedy Library and Museum」。
これは、前回述べた、ワークショップ総仕上げの課題で、１チームで４テーマのプレゼンテーションを行う。
私達のチームは１人１人が５分間で一つのテーマのプレゼンテーションを行うことに決め、私は施設見学の中から「John F. Kennedy Library and Museum」を選んだ。
