With only two weeks left in the summer school, weekly presentations have become a major issue for me. The presentation is given by a team of two or three people, and the team members change for each theme, so it takes a lot of time to communicate depending on the person who forms the team.
Also, in terms of presentation preparation work, people who carry their own laptops, people who do not carry laptops but use PCs at the computer center on campus, and people who do not use computers and are paper-based. It's also difficult because there are various people.
And it's time to start preparing to apply for the essay contest. Since the essay contest is not an assignment but a free application, I cannot hope for the guidance of the M instructor, and I have to grope for everything.
What's more, my unexpected headache is that the printer isn't installed in the classroom or in my room in the dormitory, so when I need a printer, I bring the memory stick to the computer center, which is a 10-minute walk from the dormitory, and print it out.
However, when the submission is completed on a personal computer in the early morning or late at night of the submission date, it is necessary to copy each word on paper by hand while looking at the PC screen.
By the way, it takes more than an hour to accurately copy a two-page report by handwriting without typographical errors or omissions while looking at the computer screen.
So, for me, there are more things to do from now on, and it will be a battle against time, so I need to grasp the whole systematically.

全体を組織的に把握する必要がある。

サマースクールも残り２週間と少しになり、毎週のプレゼンテーションが私の大きな課題になってきた。プレゼンテーションは２人か３人のチームで行い、テーマ毎にチームメンバーが変わるので、チームを組む相手によっては意思の疎通にものすごく時間がかかる。
また、プレゼンテーションの準備作業の面でも、自分のノートパソコンを携行している人、ノートパソコンを携行しないがキャンパス内のコンピューターセンターでＰＣを活用する人、そして、パソコンを使わないで紙ベースの人と、人様々なのでそれも大変。
そして、そろそろ、エッセイコンテスト応募の準備も始めなくてはならない。エッセイコンテストは課題ではなく自由応募なのでＭインストラクターの指導は望めず、全てを私自身が手探りで進めなくてはならない。
おまけに私の予想外の頭痛の種は、プリンターが教室や、寮の自室に設置されていないので、プリンターが必要なときは寮から徒歩１０分のコンピューターセンターに、メモリースティックを持ち込んで、プリントアウトする。
しかし、提出日の早朝や深夜にパソコン上で提出物が出来上がった時は、その後でＰＣ画面を見ながら、手書きで紙に一字一句間違いなく書き写す作業が必要だ。
因みにパソコン画面を見ながら、Ａ４版で２ページのレポートを、手書きで誤字・脱字なく正確に書き写すには1時間以上を要する。
というわけで、私にとってこれからはやるべき事がどっと増えて時間との闘いになるので、全体を組織的に把握する必要がある。
