After dinner today, I decided to practice pronunciation at the Language Center in the annex of the Ramond Library on campus.
That's because, in my presentations, my classmates have repeatedly pointed out that my pronunciation is hard to hear.
In addition, M instructor pointed out that "Kazu has a weakness in pronunciation peculiar to Japanese people", and I decided to take this opportunity to overcome the weakness in pronunciation.
At that time, I decided to carry a tape list created by M Instructor, which was held by the Language Center and focused on overcoming the weaknesses of Japanese pronunciation.
It is generally said that Italians and Japanese have unique weaknesses in English pronunciation. In my experience of attending summer school, the pronunciation of Italian students in the class is close to the Roman alphabet.
On the other hand, with regard to Japanese pronunciation, it has traditionally been considered indistinguishable between L and R pronunciations.
However, what I learned more from the integrated class pronunciation program was the inability to distinguish between N and M pronunciations, as well as the inability to pronounce G's nasal sonants.
In addition, words containing G are not pronounced in the case of single syllables, but are pronounced in two or more syllables, and even if the words are spelled the same, nouns and verbs may have different accent locations.

ああ、発音！

今日の夕食後に私は、キャンパス内のラモンド図書館の別館内のランゲージセンターで発音の練習をすることにした。
というのは、これまでのプレゼンテーションで、クラスメートから、私の発音は聞き取りにくいと何度も指摘されてきた。
その上、Ｍインストラクターからは「Ｋａｚｕは日本人特有の発音の弱点を持っている」とも指摘され、私としては、この機会に発音の弱点を克服することにした。
その時に、私は、Ｍインストラクターが作成した、ランゲージセンターが所蔵する日本人の発音の弱点克服に重点を置いたテープ・リストを携行することにした。
一般に、イタリア人と日本人は、英語の発音に独特の弱点を持っているといわれている。サマースクール受講における私の体験でも、クラスのイタリア人学生の発音はローマ字（the Roman alphabet）に近い。
他方で日本人の発音については、従来からＬとＲの発音の区別がつかないとされてきた。
しかし、私がインテグレーテッド・クラスでの発音プログラムでさらに識ったことは、ＮやＭの発音の区別が出来ないことに加えてＧの鼻濁音の発音ができないこと。
さらに、付け加えれば、Ｇを含む単語は単音節の場合は発音しないが２音節以上は発音すること、単語のスペルが同じでも名詞と動詞ではアクセントの場所が異なる場合があること。
