The curriculum content and required abilities of the lessons have become stricter, but as the number of lessons has increased, communication between classmates has become smoother.
I guess the reason is that the lesson system is mainly team activities and the ratio of discussions is high, so we have to think in English and speak in English.
After all, since our class is the second level from the bottom of the 5th grade, it is difficult to assemble English before thinking in English because the vocabulary is small and the grammar conjugation is insufficient.
What makes things even more difficult is pronunciation, and none of our classmates have standard pronunciation, and the pronunciation is as many as the number of countries of origin of the students, making it difficult to hear.
Moreover, the M instructor does not point out any mistakes regarding the pronunciation and grammar of the students. Even if there is a mistake, it is a "go ahead" anyway.
So, at first, everyone couldn't understand what the other person was saying, but since they are like each other, they have no choice but to take the time to become familiar with each other's pronunciation and English.
The accumulation has gradually come to fruition, and mutual understanding between classmates, who were initially unfriendly, has progressed, and communication has become smoother.
チーム活動中心授業のメリット

授業はカリキュラムの内容も要求される能力も厳しくなってきているが、回数を重ねるに従ってクラスメート間のコミュニケーションがスムーズになって来た。
その要因を私が推測するに、授業の方式がチーム活動主体で、ディスカッションの比率が高いから、私達は否応なく英語で考え、英語で話さざるを得ない。
何しろ私達のクラスは５段階の下から２番目のレベルだから、語彙は少ないし文法活用力が不足しているので英語で考える以前に英語を組立てるのが難しい。
さらに事を難しくしているのは発音で、私達のクラスメートで標準発音の人など皆無で、発音は学生の出身国の数だけお国なまりの発音があって聞き取りにくいのだ。
しかも、Mインストラクターは受講生の発音や文法などに関して一切誤りを指摘しない。間違いがあっても、とにかく、「ゴーアヘッド」なのだ。
そんなわけで、当初は、皆、相手が何を言っているのかさっぱり理解できなかったが、それはお互い様だから、時間を掛けて互いの発音や英語に馴染む他はない。
その積み重ねが少しずつ実って、当初はよそよそしかったクラスメート間の相互理解が進んでコミュニケーションがスムーズになってきた。
