After finishing my first class today, I learned that the morning class from 9 am to 11 am is the Integrated Skills Class and the afternoon class from 1 pm to 3 pm is the Workshop.
The unified theme that runs through the Integrated Skills Class and Workshop is "education, politics, and the environment," and students will take classes that emphasize English expression through team or group activities.
So, first of all, about the Integrated Skills Class
The Level B Integrated Skills Class I participate in is a Ma instructor from the Middle East, and the students are composed of 3 people including me from Japan, 4 people from Taiwan, 1 person from Thailand, and 1 person from India. , 2 from Belgium, 1 from Italy, 1 from Argentina, 13 people from 7 countries, 5 males and 8 females.
The age structure belongs to most of the late 20s to late 30s, except for me, who is 60 years old, and two men, who are 18 years old.
In the Integrated Skills Class, students use textbooks, novels, VTRs, essays, and instructor-created teaching materials to learn basic English such as grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary, while accumulating presentations, writing English, and group discussions. To develop the English expression skills of the students.

午前中のIntegrated Skills Class

今日、初めての授業を終えて分かった事は、午前９時～１１時の午前の授業はIntegrated Skills Class、午後１時～３時の午後の授業はWorkshopということ。
そして、Integrated Skills ClassとWorkshopを貫く統一テーマは「教育・政治・環境」であり、受講生はチームあるいはグループ活動を通して英語表現力に重点を置いた授業を受けることになる。
そこで、先ず、Integrated Skills Classについて、
私が参加するLevel Bの Integrated Skills Classの担当は中東出身のＭａインストラクター、そして受講生の国別構成は、日本から私を含む３人、台湾から４人、タイから１人、インドから１人、ベルギーから２人、イタリアから１人、アルゼンチンから１人の合計７カ国１３人、性別構成は男性５人に女性８人。
年代構成は、６０歳の私と１８歳の２人の男性を別にすると殆ど２０代後半から３０代後半に属する。
Integrated Skills Classでは、受講生は、教科書、小説、ＶＴＲ、エッセイ、インストラクター作成の教材を活用して、文法、発音、語彙などの英語の基本を習得しながら、プレゼンテーション、英文作成、グループディスカッションを積み重ねて、受講生の英語表現力を開拓する。
