The schedule for me and my friends on the night of the 2 nd stay in Boston was to go to the jazz concert held from 19 o'clock in the basement hall of the church.
And we decided to spend the dinner before the concert in the luxurious atmosphere of the hotel and we ordered open sand and coffee at the Ritz-Carlton hotel lounge near the church the evening of the day.
So the open sandwiches waiting for me were lined up on the table, and when I looked at the clock on the wall of the lounge, the time was just 18 o'clock.
Without such a thing, we checked each other's wristwatch and showed 17 o'clock, which indicated that there is time to relax the delicious open sand from now on.
To our disappointment, we did not know that daylight saving time started from that day.
So, we hastily pour open sand and coffee into the stomach and ran into the church hall.
ボストン滞在２日目の夜の私と友人のスケジュールは教会の地下ホールで１９時から催されるジャズ演奏会に行ことだった。
そして、演奏会前の夕食はホテルの贅沢な雰囲気の中で過ごすことにして、当日の夕方、私達は教会近くのリッツ・カールトンホテルのラウンジでオープンサンドと珈琲を注文した。
で、待ちかねたオープンサンドがテーブルに並べられて、さてと、ラウンジの壁の時計を見ると時刻は丁度１８時だった。
そんなはずは無いと私達は互いの腕時計をチェックすると共に１７時を示していて、これから、美味しいオープンサンドをゆったり味わう時間があることを示していた。
私達はうかつにも、その日からサマータイムが始まることを知らなかったのだ。
で、私達は大急ぎでオープンサンドと珈琲をお腹に流し込み、教会のホールに駆け込んだのであった。
