Recently I often come across a scene of a job interview at a cafe. This is at a cafe in Marunouchi.
A job hunting interview for a young man who is in charge of recruiting large companies and a female college student who is scheduled to graduate next spring began at my next seat.
When I heard it without listening, female college student clearly stated the idea for work as "I would like to contribute to society, and I want to do the work that I can grow on that," to the interviewing personnel.
With that heard I felt a change in the times.
About 1963 when I got job hunting, companies were closing the door to female college students. Furthermore, the recruitment of women of large companies was limited only to those who live with their families and have some connection with the company.
At that time, women generally quit the company when they get married, and the majority of companies have not admitted women as talent.

最近はカフェで就職面接の場面によく出くわす。これは、丸の内のカフェでの事。
私の隣の席で大企業の採用担当の若い男性と来春卒業予定の女子大生の就職面接が始まった。
私が聞くともなく聞いていると、女子大生は、面接担当者に「社会に貢献でき、その上で自分が成長できる仕事がしたい」と明確に仕事への考えを述べていた。
それを耳にして私は時代の移り変わりを感じた。
私が就職活動をした１９６３年頃、企業は女子大生に門戸を閉ざしていた。更に大企業の女性の採用は、家族と同居で会社と何らかのコネクションがある人達だけに限定していた。
当時の風潮は、女性は結婚すると会社を辞めるのが一般的で、大多数の企業は女性を人材として認めていなかった。
