During my free time in Warsaw on the tour I participated in, when I was walking alone on the main street in the city center for no purpose, I happened to come across the National Museum in Warsaw and was attracted to the open atmosphere and free admission. I set foot in the museum.
As we learned later, this national museum is a huge building built during the war, masterpieces of medieval art, works of European masters, portraits of Poland and neighboring countries, ancient relics, sculptures, etc. , Has a huge collection of over 800,000 items.
At that time, I had no prior knowledge of the National Museum and Polish art, and I had no chance to come into contact with Eastern European art in my life, so I just looked at the exhibited works in order.
And I think what I vaguely felt was the "oriental scent and culture" of Poland.
Of course, Eastern Europe is close to the Orient even in the vast continuous Eurasian continent, but for the first time I saw the work of the National Museum of Poland, the representative country of Eastern Europe, and Poland's "Oriental scent and culture" I was able to feel.
After leaving the Warsaw National Museum, I also set foot in the adjacent military museum.
There are tanks and fighters, including those from World War II and weapons made by the former Soviet Union, cannons to missiles, and real weapons are lined up, not only because of their huge size, but also because of the power that rises from them. I was overwhelmed.
However, I thought it was an indispensable museum to look back on the history of Poland, which has survived many wars.
